How do I know if my motherboard supports ECC memory?

I am buildng a server and would like to use the Biostar M7VIP motherboard. In the manual it says:

DRAM Access Time: 2.5V Unbuffered/ Registered DDR 1600/ 2100/ 2700 Type required.

DRAM Type: 64MB/ 128MB/ 256MB/ 512MB/ 1GB DIMM Module (184 pin)

I understand servers should use ECC memory. Does DDR RAM come in ECC and non-ECC flavors? If it does, how do I know if this board supports ECC?
