How do I know if my mobo is dead dead?

My comp in my sig is not booting at all. I tried to install my wireless keyboard and then after that, it won't boot. It won't boot even after resetting the CMOS and what not. It's really perplexing and frustrating at the same time. I have the mobo out of the case, just the CPU, memory and video card plugged in. I've exhausted every option.

The lights come on on the motherboard, all fans spin, I don't see any signs of any damage.

I've tried reseating the CPU. Nothing is working. Any ideas?

Hmm..

No beep codes I assume?

Reseat the video card as well.

2 sticks of ram ? Have you tried just ONE?

Different slots?

I know you cleared the CMOS, but have you pulled the battery and let it sit.

LOL, you know what. The ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe doesn't come with a speaker. It has a lady's voice talking to you if something goes wrong. My speakers weren't hooked up. I figured hey, maybe it's actually booting into Windows and my monitor may be bad. I turn my speakers on and I hear the lady tell me, system something memory problem. So I took the memory out, put in some memory from another system and it booted just fine. I put everything back together and it is working fine now.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 😛

Glad it's fixed.

Was the stick bad, or just needed reseated?

Have you run MemTest to make sure?

I haven't run any tests yet but I will tomorrow. I'm going to bed, I have an interview in the morning with Best Buy.
