I'm not sure if my DVD burner can write double layer DVDs, as I was pretty ignorant when I bought it. It was about a year ago too.

Is there a place in control panel i Check?
thx

Go into Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager and tell me what model it is. I'll tell you if it can write onto dual layer, or you can look at the manufacturer's website.

if you try and burn a dvd is your max under oor over 4 gb.
if its over you can do dual layer.
single layer capacity has been exceeded.

thanks

You can write onto DVD+R Dual Layer discs but I'm unsure of the speed. Let your burning program decide on speed.

Oh sweet. Personally, I don't care about speed. If it burns correctly, then I'm glad. 2-3 extra minutes will NOT kill me.
