I connected the L1's on my 1000mhz Tbird, like this:

.-.
.-.
.-.
.-.

with a #2 pencil. now, how do i know if i did the job? because i set my bios to 133mHz x 8.5 (it's at 7.5 now) with 1.75v, and when I applied the settings the BIOS still says 1000mhz cpu. So I go back into settings, and check to see if it saved config, and it did. So I up it again, to 133x9 @ 1.75v and system wouldn't POST. What am I doing wrong?

i don't think i said that clearly -- i'm having a problem as to when I change the SoftMenuIII settings on my abit motherboard, the changes apply but do not take effect when I power up (ie changing to 1100mhz(133), after restarting the system the bootup info says 1000mhz). could this be because I did not bridge the L1 dots correctly? system is otherwise stable.
