how do i know if a duron is locked or unlocked?

Well i just got a duron 600 and i looked at the L1 bridges and it seems like it isn't connected but i'm not sure how it really looks like when it is unlocked can someone give a link to a picture to let me see and make sure? where would i buy a graphite pencil or a conductive pen to unlock it if i do so? and which would be better a conductive pen or a graphite pencil?
