How do i kill the first Jedi boss in JK2?

The guy who is holding Jen hostage. Can't seem to figure out a way to kill him.

Ummm.....which guy are you talking about? You don't fight the guy who's holding Jan hostage until (I'm assuming; haven't got there yet) the end. There aren't really any bosses to fight until WAY into the game. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but could you give a few more details about where you are?

Well i just destroyed those gigantic sphere cannons and saved the prisoners. Now i was supposed to meet up with Jan, but a dark Jedi is holding her hostage. And i have to kill him. He has a lightsaber, force powers, etc. I got sh1t.
