How do I keep Windows XP from popping up those stupid bubbles boxes when I dial up my ISP?

Everytime I connect a little window pops up that tells me how fast I am connected and I need to close it. It's really ticking me off. How do I keep it from doing that?
 
thats weird.... "Taskbar" is right between "Common Dialogs" & "My Computer" on mine😕

well, look for something called "Enable Ballon Tips" and simply uncheck/unselect that option & apply
 
Maybe the new version does not have it...

Mine goes Desktop, My Computer, Control Panel.

Ahh well.
