How do I keep lopdotcom spyware from running on my computer?

I've been having a lot of problems with lop.com toolbars installing byitself onto my internet explorer and desktop. It has installed itself twice. I removed it twice with spysweeper. How is it getting on my computer and how is it installing itself? Thanks in advance
