How do I keep Analog CD Audio muted and CD Digital Audio not muted?!?!

I just got a Soundblaster Live as a gift and now have my DVD-ROM hooked up through the S/PDIF. I don't have it hooked up through the analog connection at all. However, in my volume control panel I cannot keep the "CD Digital" volume control unmuted, and the "CD Audio" (which is the analog obviously) muted. It just keeps defaulting back to having the digital muted and the analog unmuted.

I use Winamp to play all of my music (MP3, CDs, VQFs, etc.) could it be doing something to change how I set it. Thanks for any advice you can give, it's really getting annoying.

Since CD is a digital format, not being able to mute this and have CDs play at all would make sense, however I haven't heard of this problem before. My suggestion would be to check the proprietary software offered by Creative as they often have settings they take control of, which cannot be overridden by Windows.
