Um, I think there is a option in the preferences to turn them off...Have you checked there?

Well, I was able to get rid of AIM, but I don't know about RealPlayer. I'm about to find out though :)

There is an option in both of those apps to disable start on boot. I think ya just right click on the system tray icon and look under option or preferences.

for real player, under preferences you have START CENTER. disable that and you should be good to go.

if running 98SE.. use msconfig.. start->run-> type msconfig.. and disable the one that applies to realplayer under the startup tab..

If you ARE running W98, unchecking those programs in MSCONFIG will NOT stop them from booting at startup. They will load again automatically. You need to stop them at the source, from within the options of each program. Do yourself a big favor: dump both of 'em cause they are worthless resource hogs.
