How do I intentify the markings on EDO RAM?

Hi,

I have a friend that just had his motherboard replaced in his system. The system used to use EDO RAM and we're trying to figure out exactly what he had in his system. Can anyone tell me how to identify what type of RAM it is for sure by the markings on the RAM? I need to know if it's EDO for sure and I need to know how many mb's each stick is.

if it's an EDO RAM... the only thing you can figure out from the markings are :
1.chip manufacturer
2.size
3. type (such as FPM EDO or one of the other types)

could you post the markings on the memory and i'll try to help...
