I will be installing Mandrake 8.2 on a hard drive that had W95 on it. Do I need to fdisk the hard drive before installing Mandrake or will Mandrake reformat the hard drive when it installs?

You might be able to tell mandrake to just use all the space on the drive, just select that option if it gives you that and it will partition and format the drive as it needs to.

No, I just put together enough old parts to make a Linux box. I am wanting to learn more about alternative operating systems. I thought this forum might be a good place to ask questions.
