How do i install gnome2 themes correctly?

I was wondering, im installing these new themes for gnome2 in Mandrake 9, and for some reason teh header bars don't change at all! Whats with this?

Also, whenever i minimize a window, there is an animation that shows it closing. How can i skip that? Thanks
