Mandrake is a RH based distro, which means you can downlaod rpm files and installe them by 'rpm -Uvh ...'

Mandrake is up to two CDs, which are inst(all) and ext(ension). MandrakeFreq is sorta Mandrake 8.02. You can use both discs when you install Mandrake (the inst is the necessary image).

If Mandrake is already up and running, you can use MandrakeUpdate to install any apps on the image you downloaded. (BTW, you can access the RPMs inside of that image WITHOUT burning it to disc NOR extracting it by mounting a loopback device to the ISO). All you have to do is add it (burned or mounted as a loopback device) as a source in Mandrake Update.
