well, you're basically looking to add a blowhole right over the cpu. i just added a 120mm fan right over my friends tbird 900 and it dropped the cpu temp by 10 degrees, so i highly recommend that you DO IT !

there's plenty of how-to's out there, i just can't seem to find them right now. i believe the best "how to add a blow-hole in the side of your case" guide i found was at hardocp.com

you should get check them out. basically, you need to determine what fan to get (80mm or 120mm are the main standards)...then mark the inside of your side with a pencil so you know whereabouts your cpu is...then make a circle, take out your trusty dremel moto-tool (with fiberglass re-inforced cutting blades) and cut a circle that's the inside diameter of the fan...then add a fan grill and screw the fan in. hook it up to power (and possibly add a switch) and you'll be flying high (and cool)

www.nexfan.com sells some decent fans (i suggest sunons) as well as the fan grills you'll want (so that your fingers don't go into the fans)

find a guide, and you'll be able to visualize how to do it better than my description right here.
