When you remove your stock headunit from your car, do not cut the wires. Unplug the module from the headunit. Now, the adapter you bought should connect to that module you unplugged from your stock headunit. Then you need to connect the wires from the adapter to your new headunit. They wires are color coded. Consult your CD headunit manual and the instructions from the adapter you bought.

-edit-

Just PM me if you need more help. Installing the headunit isn't that difficult.. all you need is a little reading.

Well, you will only need crimping tools if you are planning on using those butts connector.

You can strip the ends off with scissors. Then you can either solder them together or just twist the ends together and wrap it with electrical tape.

That's what I did with my car stereo. Just strip the tubing and the twist the bare wire ends together. Soldering them gives better conductance but it hasn't affected the sound (as far as I can hear)

1. buy from Circuit City (if buying from Best Buy, add 10 minutes to heated exchange with the CSR on the protection plan. Leave in anger to Circuit City across the street)
2. have them CC dudes in the back install it for you.

Yeah, that happened to me

Just because the colors of the wires match doesn't mean that they go to the same things. I found that out trying to wire my sony cd player into my hyundia accent. All cars have a different wiring diagram for stock wiring. But they put the wiring diagram on the circuit board. It is easier to just pull the cover off the stereo themselves, and look at the circuit board, then hard wire it. That way you don't get a cross circuit and fry your system.
That was the best info that a local audio dealer gave me. Good friend, he has been putting them in for years.

That's why I told him to look at both the headunit manual and the wire harness instructions. But in most cases, the wiring colors are universal.
