How do I identify which hd I have?

I know that my current HD is made by Maxtor, and that it is 20 gig. Is there anyway I can identify it and find out what its speed is and such. I'm curious to konw as I plan on upgrading soon, and would like something to compare with.
 
If you have sisoft sandra. Go to system summary and find out the model # of the drive. Do a search online and you should find out what it is. Go to control panel system device manager and you should be able to find the model # there also.

Open your case, and write down the model# of the drive. You can then google to find out more about it.
