i have some 2.1 speakers i'd like to plug into my laptop when i'm at home but headphone jack doesnt fit the plug from the speakers. Anything i can do to get around this?
get a mini plug to RCA plug adapter cable and plug them in to the headphone output...assuming its RCA plugs you are dealing with. They have them at Best Buy ..Radio shack..what ever is in your area.
It is odd that your 2.1 speakers have a different connector, but we need to know what type. deathwalker is correct, it is most likely RCA's, but most computer speakers don't use RCA's 😉
More details!
did the speakers come with an adapter? Or maybe you plug in the two satellite speakers into the sub, and then the sub plugs into your computer? I dont think dell would sell you speakers that dont fit into a standard 1/8in connector or whatever those are.
