Hello, I have a triple LNB dish and 1 receiver hooked up right now. I'd like to hook up another but I'm not sure how to do it. Can I put a splitter on the end that comes from the dish or do I have to run a seperate wire from the dish? Thanks

Thats how you have to do it...if you have a triple LNB there should be 4 lines coming out of the back of the dish. Do yourslef a favor and run all these to a central place right now, you WILL want them later if you ever add on! I found out the hard way...

This is why I always recommend to friends having Sat installed in their homes have an outlet installed in every room they think they might ever want a TV. Ideally, this would be all family/living rooms, all bedrooms, basement and kitchen. Garage too for those who like to watch TV while they work on stuff.

Unlike cable, it cannot simply be split. You have to have a multiswitch. And it has to be a powered multiswitch if you go 8 or higher.

I bought a multiplexer before the installer came and he hooked it up. A few months later I ran a cable from the mutliplexer to my basement for a 3rd receiver and it worked fine. It is easy to do yourself if you have the right equipment. Make sure to aks DTV or a sat. installer what multiplexer/multiswitch to buy.
