Hi all. I wanted to know how do I hook up my ps2 through composite and also hook up my z 5300's to it as well? I want to use my ps2 on my 2405fpw with my z5300's. Would I need a special adapter or something through radioshack? It says its able to be used for game systems and came with an adapter to plug the rear and front speakers into one plug for stereo electronics that cannot do 5.1.

I want to know what colors go to where on the 2405fpw cause the composite jacks are different colors than the ones on the plugs. They do have a yellow one for video which my monitor and plugs match up. Do i plug the audio plugs into my monitor or somehow plug it directly into my z5300's?

Ok, you'll want to plug the yellow composite video into the yellow port on the 2405. For the audio, you'll need to pick up an RCA to mini-pin cable. It will have the RCA left/right (red and white) plugs on one end and a single mini-pin plug (its the same connector a lot of headphones and what you use to plug your speakers into your sound card) on the other. Make sure that the RCA end has female plugs (meaning holes that you'd plug your PS2 cables into). Then you could do one of two things. You could plug this into the microphone/input port on your sound card, or else you would plug it into the speakers somehow (you would have to look at your manual or installation guide, as I'm not quite sure how Logitech says how to do this).

If your computer has an optical in port, you could also run an digital optical toslink cable from your PS2 to your computer. This would actually offer the best sound quality.

I hope this helps.

ok i have one of those plugs. Now when i put the red and white composite plugs into the adapter it connects into one single female plug (im guess since it doesnt have a thing sticking out u can plug into.) how do i connect this to my soundcard cause it doesnt have any male connectors. BTW i use a x-fi extreme music card for my comp.

Huh? the adapter should have 2 1/4" female plugs for the composite jacks, and one 1/8" male plug to go into your speakers

Also why don't you use compnent into the 2405

When I had my PS2, I simply used the component cables from the PS2, to the 2405. Then used the optical from the PS2, to my Z-5500's. I do not know if yours has optical. It was pretty easy, and sweet when I had it setup like that. Another reason the 3007 doesnt seem too attractive.

Quite a few newer ps2 games support WS. GT4, God of War, etc. Besides, I think 2405 supports turning off WS stretch on 4:3 input
