I have heard from people who go there that if you gamble they give you drinks..

Or the give you drinks so you gamble.

How does that all work?

*edit for spelling for you sticklers.

1)Go to casino
2)Sit down at table or slot machine and throw away money
3)Wait for scantily clad waitress to offer you a drink.
4)Order a drink or take one from her tray.
4a)If you order something, WAIT THERE for her to bring it.
5)Give her a TIP if you want her to ever come back. If you are at a table, it is acceptable to give chips as tips.
6)Repeat steps 2-5 as necessary.

Hehe..whenever my buddies go to the casino, I just go to drink. I have the worst luck on the planet and have no business gambling. There is this comp bar with video poker machines built into the top of the bar. I get $20 worth of quarters, sit at the bar and play video poker sloooowly and drink $50 worth of liquor. :)

I'm a big fan of the quarter video poker built in the bar. I sit there and waste $10 - $20 and keep getting drinks all night. If a casino is slow, I'll start b.s.'ing with the bartender. If they are cool, you can talk to them for a while and he'll keep the drinks coming. Video poker at the bar is great because they are cheap (some $0.25 machines) and very close to the bartender. You don't have to wait on some waitress to get your order.

They'll make you pay for the drink unless you are playing $1-5 slots or $25-$50 Min. Blackjack.

Not at Harrah's/Showboat, WWW or Trump Marina. I usually play nickel or quarter slots or $5 craps. Never been asked to pay for a drink. You play in AC?

Not in Atlantic City they won't.
Those instructions work just fine at the 25 cent slots. :)

Sounds like Atlantic City sucks. :p

I've never had a problem getting free drinks ($1-2 tip) in Vegas, regardless of how high or low I'm rolling.

At bally's Ive gotten free drinks while playing the nickel slots. I think it depends on what casino you go to.

oh please...you obviously know what it is. As for AC, i've never had to pay for drinks even when im not playing anything and just walkin around...just leave a small tip of course. ya see....casinos WANT you to drink their cheapass free liquor...the more liquored up you are, the worst you'll play...not that you have that high of a chance in the first place...

Ok, I stand corrected. :)

Every casino I've gone to (chicago, kansas city, windsor) I've had to pay for drinks unless you met the condtions I described above.

In Vegas the drinks are free, but they NEVER come quickly enough.... I've only been able to get totally trashed on two occasions, and believe me I'm always trying :)

Yeah, the local casinos are cheap here, too. But Vegas and AC casinos like to booze you up :)

I discovered how to fix that. Order your next when you get your first, and tip very well (a buck a drink, minimum). Being very nice to the waitress helps too. Treat them with respect and don't treat them like a sex pot and they'll love you for it.

I rarely go dry at the tables, even if I'm just drinking bottled water or soda. :)

Hey, I'm not cheap, I just don't like to really gamble! ;) I know the video poker bar is a "sure thing" for me to get sloshed! :D

Oh, and if you tip well and make conversation with the bartender, sometimes they'll start pouring the non-comp liquors (good stuff) for you for free. :)

I was just teasing! :)

I really don't like to gamble much either. When I go to AC with friends, a roll of quarters lasts me for hours and I have been known to stumble a little on my way out of Claridge or Harrah's.
