How do I get XMEN Oblique muscles

inveterate

Just began watching xmen (original) again, and i noticed all the male characters with ultra defined "and generally HUGE" oblique muscles. How do I go about getting them. what are they for anyway, I've got a six pack but, I've actually never seen anyone with obliques like Xmen (wolverine, cyclops, etc)

do crunches with your legs lying flat on the ground on each side. Another good way is to do leg lifts while alternating sides. Resistance training with weights works as well here as anywhere else. If your working your obliques the you'll feel it in the areas that you want to build.

I dunno. Maybe it helps when you regularly have to take mutant energy blasts below the ribs.

Haha, thats part of it,

Rogue is like soooo H0T, i was pissed on the actor choice they used in the movies, cuz i mean,, common the chic they picked?, she's FUGLY.

I absolutely cannot wait, till they get Gambit in there in Xmen 4 or sumtin. the Cajun,,, "first charge the card"

is it really possible to get obliques like the xmen though, cuz i'm looking at mine, and it's just alot of bone there. barely anything.

Heavy compound lifts like squats and deadlifts use a lot of abdominal muscles as stabilizers.

Also, they won't grow at all if your diet isn't in place. You can't build muscle out of nothing.

Best exercise I ever found for obliques (for myself) were side crunches.

Lay on your side w/ your knees half-tucked..........(i.e. your legs are not completely straight and they're not up to your gut either)............put your thumbs on your temples like you're doing good crunches, but since you're on your side, you're simply "crunching" sideways. When you're doing them right, your obliques will start to burn after about 10 of these. Try to concentrate on flexing your obliques as you crunch. When you've disciplined yourself well enough to feel *only* your obliques, you'll get to doing about 20 at a time & by the time you get to the 20th, your obliques should be on fire.

Other exercises you can do are dumbell side-bends and simple twists, but I never found them to do much for the muscle itself. Side crunches always get directly to the desired result.

And keep in mind that NONE of this will do any good without lowering your percentage of body fat. Diet slowly (no more than 2lbs per week) and eat balanced meals. If you've already got a 6 pack, you should start seeing your obliques more clearly within a month.

Lastly.........keep in mind that some folks are simply more genetically disposed to showing more oblique. Some, more rectus abdominus. Either is a nice gift.......both are really a gift......but you can definitely show off *your* best by lowering your body fat.

Russian twists forwards and backwards and later when you get better use weights to add resistance. 8-12rep range for 3-4sets. Start at the lower end of the rep and set ranges and build up. You can do the Russian twists forwards on a decline also so your head is lower then your feet. This will 'build' your obliques but they WILL NOT SHOW if your bf% is not low enough.

And you do realise that they don't walk around that lean right? They 'peak' for that period, and if you ever go out on the p!ss heavy and don't drink water, the next day you will notice you look quite a lot leaner. Dehydration can do wonders to make you look leaner.

Squats, deadlifts will help help to build a strong body and you must be doing squats. If not your going to fail.

Ummm,, what does squats do for my obliques,, I do the horse stance while i'm in the showers for 25min straight every day. is that like squats , i know i don't have weight on me, but its suppose to work ur buns just the same

80% of how you look is diet.

If you're serious, and I doubt you are, you would do a 6 month campaing to have bigger, defined abs.

The abs get a great deal of work in everyday motion so you'll have to do some "extra-ordinary" work to increase their size. I'd suggest 3 sets of assisted machine crunches with heavy, heavy weight. Weight so heavy you can only do 4-6 reps. 2-3 minutes in between sets. You can work the muscle group every 30 hours or so, put it on your routine every other day.

Obliques can be built but unless you reduce your body fat to below 7%, you may not every see them in their true glory. The fat around the love handles is the absolute LAST place fat resides in men. It's very tough to get rid of. Ask any body builder.

You could do a chemical assist too. Testosterone injections build the muscle, winstrol injections cut the fat. Give that 2 cycles and you'll see some results. It might shorten your life dramatically but to some, the vanity is more important.

HOLY crap whaa?? Dang i didn't say i was wolverine with mutant powers that could survive those procedures, LOL. But dang, i didn't know thats what body builders go through.

So those oblique muscles on the XMEN (some other marvel comix), do they simply Never occur in nature?

This whole thing about body fat, is it possible to have 0% body fat, and big muscles naturally, just by working out? I can see it taking alot longer to develope, but has it been done? ,,, LOL at self again,, i just remembered,, Gymnists. LOL. yup they got them alright

Squats = body = abs and back = strong = developed
= work big muscle groups = cause body to create more testerone = you get bigger & stronger faster if you do squats then if you did not do squats
= get overall development faster and your obliques will develop better.

You need to lower your bf% low enough to show them also. But the more developed your muscles are the higher bf% you can have to show them. You have thin guys with low bf% but no abs because they don't have much ab development.

You can do it, you just have to train smart and consistently. It may take a few years depending on where you are in development though.

That is completely wrong. The muscles aren't going to grow unless you apply a load and challenge them, such as with squats.

I wouldn't recommend steroids to someone who thinks a horse stance is going to build his glutes😀
