Have a p4 Northwood 3.2, with a zalman cnps 7000a-cu on it and some corsair 3200.
I want to overclock to 3.4-3.6, can i do this on stock voltage?

basically what do i do? just looking for a simple alteration in bios (Method) nothing fancy.

could i just raise the fsb to 220 from 200 without touching voltages and memory ratio?

maybe, (seriously) maybe ~ youll need to try it and tell us 😉

vdimm should be on 2.8v
vagp should be on 1.55v
pci/agp ratio should be "fixed 66/33"
NBS should be on 800
mem ratio should be 1:1
all GAT options should be on auto

HTH 🙂

No, GAT should be set to auto, auto, disable, disable.
no, not nessecerily 😉
depends on the memory.

disabling the last 2 GAT options is usually only needed when using a 5:4 or 3:2 mem ratio when overclocking.

ATM im running a 255fsb 5:4 with them both enabled, so 😛 😉

Part of the "art" of O/C'ing is to TRY all the different options and note the results for yourself. 😉

Unless you are fooling with excessive OVERvoltage, you aren't likely to do any damage (clearing the CMOS won't cure). 🙂

A lot depends on your ram as well. 220 FSB = DDR440. Can your ram do that? That Corsair 3200 may or may not depending on the rev and chips used.

Just let us know when you figure out which way worked for you. We could actually do it for you, but then we would keep the system, so I guess you'll have to try it for yourself, huh?😀
