How do I get the RAID channels to work as extra IDE channels?

I've got a Turbo-R with 5 IDE devices. How can I use the extra RAID channels to add these devices. When my bios boots I always get this message about not having any array's defined. I tried to hook up my main hard drive as a stand alone drive on IDE3 (ATA100 Promise), but I couldn't get the machine to boot that way. I switched the drive to IDE1 (Onboard ATA100) and the system boots fine. I just can't get the devices I put on the RAID channels to work. I was under the impression I could use the 2 IDE RAID channels to add additional IDE devices.

Can anyone comment on this? Thanks.

Just configure the channels so each disk is an individual level 0 array of its own.

No, you won't have to reformat...just enagble the RAID in BIOS, load the drivers when the OS comes up & it'll run just like standard IDE.
