The low sounds while people are talking in movies and most background music is fine but when loud music or brass starts to play I can hear a lot of high pitch static and it sound awful. I am using my headphones to listen to dvd movies from my philips dvp 5140 dvd player. The only was I was able to use my headphones with this, for now, was to use my old pc just for sound so I could use the line in to put the sound from my dvd player into the pc. Then line out to plug my headphones into.

I remember I was able to get rid of this loud brass sound very easily with my apex 1100w dvd player but it did not support as many formats as my philps dvp 5140 and was a lot older. I was able to get rid of the loud brass sound by turning down the volume on the apex 1100w dvd player. This fix is not possible on the philps dvp 5140 or higher dvd player, like the one with the usb port instead, because I can't find any volume controls on the dvd player or on the remote itself. If I am wrong please say so but I looked for well over a week to try to figure out how to lower and increase volume from withon the dvd player itself but it just isn't possible for some reason where on the apex it was somehow ?
