How do i get the HL2 stress test?

Seriously speaking, there is no HL2 stress test. If you're talking about the HL2 preload, then the only way to get in on it is if you're an ATI coupon holder, and have steam installed. There is a CS:S beta, but I beleive this only available to peeps who have the above AND the new CS game that came out.

I could be wrong though.

You only need the coupon to play CS:S Beta 😱)

It has a stress test in it..that tests all sorts of pixel shaders and cool stuff. It's pretty neat 🙂

oh well........i didnt buy into the 9800xt + HL2 coupon fad.....never mind eh. i ahve much better gfx card now

I belive if you own CS: Condition Zero you get CS:Source and the HL2 stress test thing.

There's a file that you download, after you preload HL2 from Steam, that'll allow you to run basically a timedemo on your PC, reporting framerates and settings to Valve.
