How do I get SETI@Home to start in Vista without any trouble from Windows Defender??

It keeps blocking it...:|
 
Sadly a full vista supported version will only appear in a few months...
Here are 2 workarounds:
1)Install boinc as a service (you need a password)
2)Install a 5.8.x version of boinc

If you don't install it as a service on vista, the results might get a computation error after you restart because vista shuts down too fast!
 
Thanks for the replies guys but the solution was as simple as ever...

All I did was to turn off the UAC.

Since I've done that, both BOINC runs at startup with no issues.
