Every time I shave with a razor and even sometimes with and electric razor, I get this irritation under my chin and down onto my neck. If you know how to get ride of this stupid crap please let me know, its driving me crazy

I used to have the same problem. I suggest doing the following and it should take care of the problems:

1) Shave in the shower! This will make a big difference. Get one of the shower mirrors (I got one at Sharper Image, but they can be found all over the place). Not only will it be easier on your skin, it's faster and causes a lot less of a mess.

2) Get a Mach 3. Best razor I've ever used. Make sure to change the blades on a regular basis. Old, worn blades can cause irritation quickly.

3) Use Edge Pro Gel for sensitive skin. The gel seems to do a lot better job than foam.

4) If you have an electric razor, throw it in the trash.

Also the way you shave the area affects how irritated it gets. Follow what Indy said, make sure you use the fewest passes with the razor as possible, don't go over it a bunch of times if possible. Try to "stretch" the skin out a little, make it as flat as possible, and make slow passes with the razor. Also try different directions, shaving with the grain is always the best, but sometimes you may find something more comfortable for your skin.

1) Shave with cold water. Seriously.
2) Ignore this: 4) If you have an electric razor, throw it in the trash.

I used a Mach 3 for years until I finally decided to try something new. I bought a Braun electric & I haven't had eruption since.

It will take a while to get used to the electric, but for me the bumps were gone immediately.

Viper, I've wondered about those new Brauns. But the one in the commercial runs $180! Ouch! :Q

I've never tried cold water shaving (at least in the shower -shrinkage!-). Hot seems to work the best for me, but each face is different. ;)

They are expensive, I picked up mine for cheap in FS/FT. Some guy had two, & I got mine unopened for $55 shipped or something like that. IIRC it's $100+ retail. I've been very happy with it.

My experience with electrics wasn't so great.
It was a remington.
I am currently currios about trying the Norelco water proof ones. Maybe an electric in the shower would work fine.

I got my Remington microscreen intercept for I think $30 refurb (it was totally rebuilt) and it's been fine. I think the head and blades needsto be changed soon......but it's still alright. Great deal for the money IMO.

You should also not shave, for a while if possible, to give you face time to heal. Then try whatever fix you choose. Another Mach 3 and Edge fan here. In fact, I have a related question for the group, but I think I will make a new topic.

On the topic of electrics: I have a Norelco Advantage, I've been using it for 2 years and it 0wnz. I've never had a closer shave than the kind I get from that electric. I'd recommend it highly to anyone.
