How do I get rid of Windows Explorer popup in XP when I load a cd?

Go to My Computer, then right-click on your CDrom drive and select "properties>autoplay". In here you can select the default actions that you want Windows to do when you insert a CD into the drive. Personally, I set everything to "Take No Action" so I can open up things the way I'm used to doing.
 
You can also type in gpedit.msc and turn it off there. Can't remember the specific key... but its in the system settings.
