How do I get rid of this thing? AAH!!

Hey everybody.

Cana nyone tell me how to get rid of internet plugins? You know, like flash and shockwave and stuff. These are the ones where the little intallation window comes up and asks if you trusts the company and stuff.

Tools | Internet Options

Under Temp. Internet Files, click Settings

Then click View Objects

Or

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files

Thanks. I deleted everything in there, but its still there!

I don't see anythign in Control Panel > Add Remove Programs either!

How do I get rid of this thing? It seems to be running in the background of my computer. There is some little flash thingy on my desktop with favorites and a search bar and stuff. AHH!!!

It's probably not a plugin. I bet it's something either in your system startup or embedded in the registry that is taking over your browser's search page.

If you reboot and you see it activate before your start your browser, check in your startup files using msconfig.

2.) Bang fist on keyboard (works well with step 1)
3.) Get new keyboard
4.) Kick side of computer (combine with step 1)
5.) Fix side of computer before wife yells
6.) Take computer apart
7.) Look at everything while going "hmmmmm"
8.) Attempt to put it back together
9.) Attempt to put it back together again
10.) Call friend to find out where 'this thing goes'
11.) Take pile of parts to CompUSA
12.) Shell out $100 (can be combined with step 1)
13.) Call CompUSA to find out ETA
14.) Call CompUSA to find out ETA
15.) Threaten CompUSA to get your computer back
16.) CompUSA admits that your computer is a POS and you need a new one
17.) Purchase new computer
18.) Problem solved

Throw 'Drink Beer' inbetween every step if necessary.
