I started installing Win98 last night, but forgot. This morning, I decided to install Win2000 but I didn't reformat the hard drive. So, I've got an incomplete Win98 install. When I turn the comp on, it asks whether I want to boot Win98 or Win2000. Is there anyway, short of reformatting, to get rid of it?

You could go in system properties-advanced and make 2000 the default OS, and uncheck display list of OS's.:)

There are two ways of doing this. One is by editing the BOOT.INI file that is hidden and is marked Read-Only. This file is at the root of your boot partition. You will find a line that ends with DOS or MS-DOS or somehting of that nature. You can remove it. Another way is to boot to Windows 2000. Right-Click on My Comuter and select Properties. From there, click on the Advanced tab, then on the Startup/Recovery button. There, you will see a checkmark box that says "Display a list of operating systems for [box] long." Uncheck it, but make sure that the version of Windows 2000 you installed is selected from the pull-down menu above the checkmark box.
