How do I get rid of the shareddocs folder in XP? Looked over the FAQ, but couldn't find an answer. Also, computer management/shares, a folder listed as "IPC$" is shared. What is that, and is it possible to remove it as well? Thanks.

I mean the "shared documents" folder, not shareddocs. Sorry about that.

1. Go the the Start menu, and click on Run.
2. Type gpedit.msc
3. Now go to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and click on Windows Explorer.
4. In here, you'll see the option Remove Shared Documents from My Computer. Double click on that, tick Enabled, and click OK. And that's all
