How do I get rid of the last viewed documents in the start menu?

You mean the documents thingy?

Settings-->taskbar & start menu---> Advanced--> Clear

I believe if you

Start - Taskbar - Start menu - [Options or something], this could be way off.. im on a Linux machine now and cant open a windows.

It will have a place where you can clear the documents list in the start menu.

Or download and install tweakui.. that is one of the features is has as well as others for covering your tracks.........

In XP: Right click the start button, choose properties. Click the customize button, choose the advanced tab and uncheck "list my most recently opened documents". You're done.
