How do I get rid of the "Blue Hilite" when browsing "My Computer"?

When I am browsing "My Computer" and looking at folders or files, whenever my mouse goes over a folder or file, this "translucent blue" rectangle is there and it is annoying the hell out of me.

I went to "performance options" and "visual effects" and the only thing I could find that will turn that off is to uncheck "Use visual styles" but when I do that, it makes my entire windows look liek windows 95.

I just want to get rid of the blue rectangle, not everything...

Is there another way to get rid of that?

Thanks

The one that turns it into a link? Folder options, simple explorer view, turn that option off. Something like that anyways. I'm not on a PC atm so I can give exact name.

If you turn off the blue hi-light, how can you select anything?

OK, this is what I am talking about below... There has to be a way to get rid of that BLUE bar. If you click on "Look Here" I have attached an image showing the blue bar I am talking about

Look Here

Get rid of the blue bar and Explorer will not function. You will have no way of selecting a file or folder.
