How do I get rid of that annoying arrow that expands the start menu??

you know on the start menu, that double arrow you have to push to view ALL the folders in the start menu? how do i make it so all folders are shown automatically?

There was some setting named Disable Personal Preferences or something like that... Try going into the properties of the Start bar.
 
I think you mean personal menus. Go to taskbar properties, and uncheck use personalized menus. That should do it.
