How do I get rid of start-up log-in screen

I don't have a password and the only user to use my windows xp home.
Everytime I start windows,I get promted to enter password. I just press enter and get to the desktop. Too much hassle,especially if I need a few programs running all the time. I had my computer rebootet at the middle of the night.I came back and ******...
Please let me know
 
tweakui > Login, Autologon, check "log on automatically at windows startup", input username, set password
control userpasswords2> Users tab, Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer", a box will pop up enter your username and password.

Both can be launched from the run option on your start menu, not sure if XP Home has control userpasswords2 so you might need tweakui. The download for that utility is listed below.

Thanks for the link.That program is very neat. got rid of some useless stuff and no more log-in screen!


now I just need something to speed my windows up a bit.

never heard of that. Sure,if your pc was running for months with tons of re-writes and deletes,it could help by 5% or so,maybe. It will not make it run faster that it should.
