How do I get rid of smoke smell? Advice...

So my moms boiling 6 eggs for me last night and falls asleep, water evaporates, eggs turn black and start burning, smoke envelopes the whole apartment, fire alarm goes off. Mom got woken up by the fire alarm or else who knows what would have happened, but it was too late already and my whole apartment was covered in a cloud of smoke. I get home from the gym and all the smoke was already gone, but the acrid smell still remains, even a day later. Today we went and bought a few airfreshners and started spraying the sh*t outta everything but its not helping much.

Any suggestions on how to kill the smell? Will it ever go away?

Thanks....

I'm under the impression that large ozone machines exist to get rid of burning house smells. I've never seen one, though. Ask a fire man or insurance adjuster or equipment rental place?

They do.
OP call Servpro or other large carpet cleaning company if it is really bad.
