how do I get rid of playback noise ?

Hi Everyone
I just got a CD-RW and so I decided to use the Windows (default) recorder to record my voice .

But its very noisy in the background. So could someone recommend a voice utility.

I went to CompUSA today and looked for some software for audio-recording but all I could find was the basic MP3 stuff

What I am trying to do is with my computers mic, record my studies onto my HDD and then
burn that file on my burner and then get edumacated while at work!!

Have you tried to lower your mic or line input level?

Remember that to get clean recordings you need several things:

1. Quiet enviroment. (Your computer can't be in the same room as the mic unless it is silent.)
2. The right equipment. (A REAL mic.)
3. Quality sound inputs. (Sound Blaster-type cards are noisy and add hiss to your recordings. You need expensive audio hardware and/or dedicated recording cards to get crystal clear signals.)

All of this means: Hassles, and $$$. You decide if it's worth it to you. No computer program can make up for a crappy audio signal.

If you are using a computer mic, it will be noisy, there is nothing you can do about it.
