They're built-in features. Use add/remove Windows Features.

Edit: My bad, it's apparently called "Apps and Features". And when I looked, Edge's "Uninstall" button was greyed out. No soup for you!

If you can't uninstall them, use this.

I was able to stop desktop skype.exe, but not MS Edge App. Yeah, it's rreally annoying whenever my PC wakes up. Windows wants to launch these 2 apps.

I noticed Skype popped up in my system tray yesterday or the day before. It wasn't happy about it but it was easy to exit the program and uninstall. I suspect it will be back in a later update.

the new edge is great.

skype can be removed pretty easily.
Yeah Skype is easy to get rid of.

New edge is Meh. I'm not seeing the advantage of swapping Chrome with google scalping your data with Chrome with Microsoft scalping it instead.
Just use Brave, its still Chrome based but there isnt a massive corporation behind it trying to squeeze as much information out of you as possible.

I had Skype pop up on one of my machines after the 2004 update. Uninstalling it didn't do any good, as it kept getting reinstalled after any system restart. I eventually had to go into the Skype settings before uninstalling it and tell it not to start with Windows. This seems to have done the trick so far, as it hasn't come back (yet).
