You have to boot from the Maxtor disk and go into the Maxtor disk utility and select advanced options I think and that will take you to soem screens where you can remove EZ-BIOS. You need to remove control of it from your harddrive first and then uninstall it or something like that. I haven't done it in a while, so I forget. I advise you to get rid of it as well. It only becomes problematic later if you don't. I know I ran into some really uneccessary trouble because of it once.
