I think the Max Blast software (Maxtor HD program) installed EZ BIOS on to my system. And people are telling me to get rid of it for some reason, so how would I go about doing this?

You have to boot from the Maxtor disk and go into the Maxtor disk utility and select advanced options I think and that will take you to soem screens where you can remove EZ-BIOS. You need to remove control of it from your harddrive first and then uninstall it or something like that. I haven't done it in a while, so I forget. I advise you to get rid of it as well. It only becomes problematic later if you don't. I know I ran into some really uneccessary trouble because of it once.

Nahhh.. It's much easier than this. Just get to the DOS prompt and type: fdisk /mbr -- this will knock EZ Bios out of your boot sector.
