I must have installed something that gives me this toolbar called NewTool. It starts up whenever I open IE 6.

It's incredibly frustrating, and I'd like to get rid of it. Please help.

Thanks!

View->Toolbars, uncheck the one you don't want. Alternatively, right-click on the toolbar and uncheck it there. Also look under Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.

I did that, but it still comes up whenever I start IE6.

Also looked under Add/Remove Programs and I didn't see anything.

Thanks for the help thus far.

Might be one of those ad site ones. Download Adaware and run that. Don't know if it'll help but it'll get rid of a lot of spyware.
You can get Adaware for free here: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Edit: Browsed Google, I think NewTool may be some kind of virus.
