Eat them....cook them and eat them.

oh right, no killing

Try putting them in a darker room or covering their cage with a towel or something, it'll calm them down :)

BTW, already put sheet over the cage(worked last time), they have plenty of food & water, and they're cockateils(if that makes a difference).

if they're in a cage then cover the cage with a piece of cloth
they'll think it's night time.

Talk to them, whistle, sing.

Is it chirping or squawking? Do they have food/water? ;)

My bird rocks!

Ah yes, cockatiels. I used to raise the little buggers. I had close to a hundred at one time. They are happy little campers during the daylight hours and like to broadcast their joy to the world.

Just putting a sheet over them probably won't cut out enough light to make the quiet. Try putting a couple of blankets over the cage to cut out ALL light.

If that doesn't work, put them in the garage or way out back in your yard (if you have a yard).

There should be holes around the wrinkles at the bottom where adequate air will get in.

You don't know loud. I have a Blue and Gold Macaw, and she likes to play in the bottom of her cage with her toys. She lays on her back on the floor, and rolls around with her toys in her claws. ALL THE WHILE, making this huge screeching noise that sounds like I am killing old women in my bathtub.

I have been tempted to drop my computer on her head at times.

True that. Just tear off a little bit of duct tape, put it over their beaks. You won't have to worry about listening to them chirp for a long, long time. :D

Put them in the bathroom on the showercurtain rod, turn the light off and close the door.

My mother brings home a White Crested Umbrella Cockatoo from animal control to rehab it so it can be adopted, she does that kind of stuff.

SOB squacks and shrieks to high hell, not just once or twice, but over and over and over for minutes at a time. I just go over and sharply rap the side of the cage and yell "shut up!" Scares the dickens out of it, but works like a charm. Damned thing hasn't done it again.

My mother bred these and a dozen other species of bird when I was growing up, had a couple hundred damned birds in the house at one time. I have no freaking tolerance for these infernal beasts.

If they just chatter and squeak from time to time, no problem. But the shrieking over and over and over for 5 continuous minutes - SHUT THE F-CK UP!
