How do i get past Lemmys Castle in 'Super Mario World'?

Ok, anyway, you need to hit Lemmy 3 times on the head...isn't he the one where there's three guys that come out at once? Two are fake; you need to hid the real one 3 times. Watch carefully

Valley fortress: um, time your jumps so you don't hit a fireball and you don't get hit by the big spike bars. It took me a while, but it's pretty easy

Is he the first boss? If so, you gotta keep jumping on him at the right moment when the platform tilts downward so you knock him into the lava.

nono... hes the guy in the castle in world 3 thats keeps appearing and shooting shiny triangles and squares at you.

ok I looked it up like the lazy bum that I am. Basically the 'real' lemmy and 2 dummies pop up from pipes. You have to step on the correct one 3 times to win. He's really easy.

The shiny shape shooter you refer to is not the boss of the level, just a standard enemy. Kill him if he's too much of a distraction, but I just wait for him to clear some blocks so I can get through and then ignore him the rest of the level.

When you get to the actual boss, hit him 3 times to kill him. The fake ones look like they're made out of sticks and burlap, the real one has big white eyes. Avoid the fireballs and you will prevail.

I have beaten the game before, and I found every secret along the way (after you complete the special world, the main map colors flip! kinda weird). I'm still trying to get an SNES emulator working in Linux, for the sole purpose of playing this game once again!
