how do i get nero to burn a CD image?

(ISO image). How do I do it?

You could try Fireburner.

go to compile new CD... data of course.. go to file Burn CD IMage... it is an ISO file..

File Menu > CD-Recorder > Choose Recorder... > Select "Image Recorder"

Then just go through the normal process of burning a cd, it then will create an image.
Don't forget to switch it back when you need to use the burner.
