I just gonna quit my current job, it is my first job and it lasts 2 years. I would just like to know how do i get my unemployement insurance? and does the company have to pay extra for that thanx

Use google.
And include the state in your search. You should be able to find what you're looking for.
I think the requirements vary with each state but I'm pretty sure it's the government that shells out the money not the company your previously worked for.

To get unemployment insurance benefits (UIB), I believe you must be laid off or involuntarily released from work.

In CA, I believe the employer pays for it.

First, learn English. It will help you get a new job.

Second, in CA you will likely NOT GET BENEFITS if you just "quit."

If you quit because of a trade dispute, harassment, etc., you may have your case set for you. However if you resign just because you want a different job, you are SOL. However, since each case is decided individually you might slip through the cracks with some tact.

Here is the Employment Development Dept. for CA: http://www.edd.ca.gov

Here is the Eligibility FAQ on the site: http://www.edd.ca.gov/uirep/uifaq6.htm#eligibility

Your employer splits the bill with the state for paying your unemployment. You have an "account" from which payments are drawn and mailed to you while you are unemployed. It is usually barely enough to live on.

I would advise that you line up your next job BEFORE quitting the old one, otherwise you'd better have a DAMN GOOD reason for quitting.

Oh, and if you were thinking of slacking off or pissing off your boss until you get fired, think again, because the employer can document that you were not fufilling your job duties and therefore deny your unemployment.

amnesiac has got it right. Don't try to file for unemployment after you quit...DENIED.

Does anyone know what the maximum weekly amount is for CA?

Just curious.
