How do I get my old dialup PC to work with my main PC as a wireless remote?

I?m trying to get my wife?s remote machine on a shared DSL but I don?t know how to prevent the dial up from wanting to connect.

So far I have a Westell 6100 successfully connecting to a WAP54G Linksys using a direct Ethernet connection on the main PC. The remote PC has a wireless-G PCI Adapter with SpeedBooster WMP54GS Linksys. My OS is XP Pro.

Are there any good beginner sites that might help me out?

If i read your post correctly, the old computer wants to dial out when you access the internet, regardless if it connected wirelessly to a faster connection. If this is the case, you should go to the IE properties, the connections tab, then you should see three radio buttons, the first one is the one you want to have checked, being "Never dial a connection." After this, it should try to connect though the already there wireless connection.
