How do I get my network settings back to default?

Well I just got an ISDN router(I was using an Internel ISDN adapter). So I put a NIC in my computer and get it set up. Configure my router. And I open a web page and it loads up fine. So I go to check my download speeds but I can only get 5k a sec! With my ISDN card I get 14K a sec. I check the router and everyting and it looks fine and both of the ISDN channels are connected so I unhook the roter from my main computer and hook it up to my other computer that has a fresh install of win98 and I start downloading and I get 14K a sec. So I hook it back up to my main box same story 5k a sec. Well I think I have screwed my network settings. Is there any way to get be windows default network settings without reinstalling? I have tried different NICs no change.

remove everything in network properties (start-settings-control panel-network)and remove everything, reboot, reinstall everything (add-protocol-ms-blah). hope this helps
