How do I get my domain to go to my webhost

So I have a domain and webhost. I'm trying to make it so that my domain goes to the webhost. I put in the nameservers on my domain at namecheap.com, but it doesn't work.

Is there anything else I need to do besides put the nameservers on the domain?

For the webhost, cpanel is the interface. Currently, there is a subdomain that I use to access my site.

 
You also need to set up the the nameservers themselves properly. I would suggest you find some local resources on how to properly setup webhosting since it seems that you don't really know what you're doing
 
you need to have a "A" host pointing to ip address of the webhost, someone has to do your dns. if your webhost does this, then you have to have where ever you bought the domain setup nameserver to point to your webhost. Hope this is helpful.
 
What is the domain? It's easier to see what's wrong with a few quick commands than it is to point out generic advice when the problem may not be accurately described.
 
Or may be you are doing it right and are unaware that it might take 24 - 72 hours before it propagate over the Internet DNS and become functional.

What's the technical term for what I'm trying to do? I guess I'm trying to redirect my domain to a webhost or something like that... 😉

Make sure the name servers at NS{6,7}.ATOTCHAT.ORG are configured to serve your www record. Otherwise, repoint your name servers somewhere you can modify the records.

Well, if you look at dnsstuff.com, your ns's of ns6.atotchat.org and ns7.atotchat.org have no A record for your domain, in fact all it has are the NS records and that's all.

How would I configure the name servers to server my www record or repoint them somewhere where I can modify the records 😕 Can I do this within cpanel? I'll email dartworth and see what's up.

Just out of curiousity, who is your webhost provider?? If you're using cpanel, the person you're paying should have set this up for you. This has to be setup in the DNS server and if you're on cpanel, it just goes off of templates when the domain is created by your webhost. You have no valid records other than NS records in the DNS server.

If you're still experiencing problems with your free AT hosting account, I would PM DeviousTrap who has taken over the free AT hosting from dartworth.

It looks like SofaKingTasty.com is hosted by HostPC.com, how do you like them so far?
