Say I want people who are interested in finding us, either through Google, 411, etc...to be able to find our contact info easily, how would I go about doing it?

edit: Oh I've discovered the local.google section!

there are programs like "web ceo" or "website submitter" where you enter the informartion of your page..then it submits to a lot of thsoe search engines.

But..take with a grain of salt.....the BEST way is still to do this MANUALLY.

Go on sites like... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/

there are a LOT of resources...and also a lot of people (moslty indians) who offer to do this for a little money, to manually submit a site to many of the search engines. HOWEVER...the big ones (and BASICALLY google, yahoo etc.) they want a LOT of money. MSN live search was still free as far as i know.

Go on google and look for "website submitting" and similiar...

add: another step further would be paying google or yahoo for adwords so people find your site when they look for it on google and see ads you oaid for......link exchanges..etc..etc...usual PR. Pretty complex subject actually ;)

Oh we have no problem getting results on Google...we've been around since 98 and get plenty of hits, but, if someone was say interested in advertising with us, and wanted to find a way to contact us on the phone, I want there to be an easy way for them to say search for "company name, san francisco, ca" on Google and get a phone number back.
