How do I get "msconfig" in win2k??

I am new to win2K. I want to take out some programs from the startup (registration reminders and so on). In win 98, you just go to start -> run -> msconfig. It doesn't work for win 2k.

How can I do it??

MSconfig isn't in win2k for whatever reason. I haven't looked around for another way to take out startup items in it though since i got XP where they put MSconfig back in.

If you're familiar with 'msconfig' in WIN98, you can copy that file and put it into Windows 2000 here:
C:\WINNT\System32
Then just do Start>Run>msconfig as usual. But unlike WIN98, you won't get the the other tools in the usual System Configuration Utility (config.sys, autoexec.bat, etc). But those are already located elsewhere in Win2k.

You can also copy the the msonfig file from WinXP (or whistler) - it works just fine with Win2k.

XP's Msconfig can be found here:

C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries\msconfig.exe

At least I am positive of that with XP Home Edition, can't speak for Pro edition at the moment.

OOps, I thought you were speaking of XP, not Win2K. The other sugestions above will work as well. Sorry, but this may still help someone looking for MSConfig in XP.
